Bangkok and Koh Samui were our last international seminar destinations for 2014. For the overnights we chose two hotels that would deliver new input for our seminars: The Sofitel So Bangkok and the Four Seasons Koh Samui. Both where just perfect.
Particularly interesting for us was the So because Sofitel currently only operates 3 of these quite new "designer boutique hotels" (in Bangkok, Mauritius and Singapore). What makes So so different? Definitely the unique design, an exceptional breakfast experience and it's "Choc Lab". But most of all: good ideas when it comes to service quality and guest experiences. So we were invited - like all the other guests as well - for a weekly cocktail reception with live DJ and snacks on the roof top terrace. This event plays a role: hotel staff from different departments would mingle with the guests and get their direct feedback, but also to explain the new So-concept. Good idea! Also never seen before: Guest relation- and reception manager in one person called the "Just Say So Manager".
